The photos can hardly be called spoilers barely showing Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox running hand in hand through the desert, a man gripping a pole while cars fly on top of him and a production picture taken from far away with the entire crew while shooting a scene in Cairo, Egypt where Empire also made an exclusive set visit report. 

 

The second Transformers film, which hits theaters in June next year, is starting to catch even more media attention as a second report from the movie set was posted by USA Today. 

 

While the three pictures don't reveal much, not even a real robot, the USA Today article details the activities on the shooting scene such as freshly returned from the life-and-death realities of Iraq and Afghanistan scores of elite servicemen and women clustering in and around real tanks, rocket launchers and personnel carriers as they unleash a machine-gun barrage at an invisible (and entirely fictional) enemy: Transformers.

 

The crew behind the movie received the approval of the U.S. Department of Defense, being allowed to shoot in the pristine dunes of the Arm's New Mexico missile range and to follow jets and fighter planes through the sky from nearby Holloman Air Force Base. 

 

In the meantime, Shia LaBeouf is still recovering from the hand injuries that he sustained during a July 27 DUI citation and car accident. 

 

"Shia had one surgery postponed for 'Transformers 2,' but there's no additional complications now," a rep for the actor said. "It's taken a while, but the surgery has been completed and Shia should be healing fine."
