Suing stars seems to be the quick way to make a buck these days – at least in Los Angeles. Paparazzi are constantly suing starts for being mean or violent, after being constantly followed by the flashes, cameras and microphones.

Keanu Reeves, one of the most aloof actors in Hollywood, is being sued by a paparazzo who claims the “Matrix” star hit him with his Porsche. Alison Silva is the one claiming that Reeves purposely knocked him over.

According to Reeves, he was starting his car and Silva, who was standing in front of the car, refused to move. Reeves advanced slowly, with the attempt to nudge him out of the way. The actor does not remember actually hitting Alison Silva, but he does remember that the paparazzo fell down. After an hour of testifying, Reeves concluded that to him, it just “common sense” to move when you’re in the way of a car that was just started.

Silva testified that he was following Reeves, who is knows as a “shark” among paparazzi, because he tends to hide if he feels he’s being followed by the snappers. He saw Reeves exiting the medical facility and positioned himself in from of the actor’s car.

He fumbled with the camera, as he was very nervous, and claims he didn’t notice that Reeves had started his car. The paparazzo said the car hit his knee and he afterward fell – a fall he doesn’t seem to remember very well – on his hand. His medical bills are $40,000 dollars so far, and he needs and additional $50,000 for a bone-graft surgery.

Although a seemingly credible story, Silva has changed it several times since the accident, which occurred in 2007. His performance in court should even trouble Reeves on a professional level, as Silva almost started crying at one point. Currently, the court is on a break.
