Lily Allen was delayed five hours at the Los
Angeles airport, after flying in from Australia. The officials didn’t
prove to be fans, even more, her US working visa being revoked. The
unpleasant decision was due to her alleged clash with a photographer in London, in March that
ended with her arrest.
The British star was planning
to attend the MTV Video Music Awards launch in Las Vegas
and was in a shock finding that the US government barred her entering
the country. Understandably she was
upset," Allen’s publicist said yesterday.
"She has no idea why she was singled out for such
treatment and found the whole experience distressing."
On the other hand, her manager Neale Easterby, dismissed the
reports, denying that there was any problem, but some minor issue: "It's rubbish... It's all good," he
said.
The 22-year-old star had another “trouble” with a
photographer the last Wednesday, while she was preparing to leave Australia, at Melbourne Airport,
heading to US.
The Smile star hopes to maintain the US tour dates
scheduled to start from the 6th of September, resolving as soon as possible her
visa problems. "It is my intention
to play my American dates in September," she said.
"This depends on the authorities granting me a new work
visa.I want my fans to know that I will do everything I can to be back in America,"
she added.
"I don't like letting my fans down and this is a
situation that I am sure we can sort."
Lily is still in Las Vegas at
the moment, preparing to shoot a video Common and Kanye West for Common's track
Drivin' Me Wild and on Thursday, after she has finished this project, she will
return in UK.
