Shia LaBeouf Transforms Into A Free Man

A misdemeanor trespassing charge against "Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf stemming from his arrest last month, was dropped by the drug store he refused to leave.

The 21-year-old "Disturbia" actor was taken into custody early last month after he declined to leave a Wallgreen’s pharmacy in Chicago, despite being told by a security guard "several times that was not welcome in the store and must exit because he appears to be intoxicated."

LaBeouf, accompanied by two of Chicago’s finest lawyers, Terry Gillespie and Edward Gensen, appeared in a Chicago court Wednesday morning for a hearing which lasted only several minutes as prosecutors informed him that the drug store company declined to continue the case, TMZ reported.

"It's a hollow victory for two lawyers of your caliber," noted Judge William O'Malley from the bench.

Although LaBeouf made no public comments on the happy ending, Gillespie did it for him, "All I can tell you is we're grateful and he's on his way back to work and so am I."

The actor, who is glad to put the incident behind him, recently wrapped up filming for "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls," due next year, in which he plays alongside Harrison Ford.
