Wouldn’t you just die for a face-to-face meeting with NBA
superstar Shaquille O’Neal? I guess most of you would, but that’s not the case
of hip-hop artist Alexis Miller, who requested a restraining order against
Shaq, as reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Judge Richard Hicks, at the Fulton County Superior
Court, approved the artist’s request on Thursday after evaluating her accusations according to which the athlete
stalked her, tried to intimidate her physically and also made repeated
harassing phone calls.
Alexis Miller, the 23-year-old rapper dubbed as Maryjane,
said that she put an end to her intimate relationship with Shaquille O’Neal,
36, last month and that he subsequently had told he would pay performers $50,000
each in order to avoid any collaboration with her.
L. David Wolfe, Alexis Miller’s Atlanta-based lawyer,
informed the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that his client had known the
basketball player for approximately one year and a half and that they had developed
an intimate relationship over the past six to eight months.
According to the same source, the court affidavit quotes an
e-mail from the NBA star as saying, “I dnt no who the [expletive] u think u
dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is I gotta make now try me.
Sho me.”
The rapper’s attorney said that the 7-foot-1 All-Star
center had not been served with the legal formalities as of Friday afternoon.
Under the terms of the temporary restraining order, the Suns
star is prohibited from contacting or even approaching within 200 yards of
Alexis Miller or her 19-month-old son.
Both parties are programmed to appear before Judge Karen Woodson, at the Fulton County
Superior Court, on September 4 in order to establish whether
the restriction should be maintained or not.
