Shannen and Jennie-Not Catfighting, Just Some Scratching

Shannen Doherty, 37, and Jennie Garth, 36, whom you most certainly know better as Brenda Walsh and Kelly Taylor from the teenage hit drama Beverly Hills, are both scheduled to reappear in the show’s new version.

This wouldn’t be much news were it not for Tori Spelling’s-who played Donna Martin on 90210-autobiography, entitled “sTORI Telling,” in which she discloses behind the scenes information about the clash between the aforementioned actresses.

According to Tori, the two even got into a fistfight at one time.

In an interview for US Weekly, Shannen Doherty stated that it never came to that, admitting though to the occasional scratching.

Shannen Doherty’ portrayal of Brenda Walsh represented a major breakthrough in her acting career, earning her a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Young Actress Starring in a Television Series. She left the show in 2004, when her character moved to London to attend the Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts.

As for her personal life, she was married, for a short period of time, to George Hamilton’s son, Ashley and also to Rick Salomon.

Jennie Garth gave life to character Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills, 901210, one who never ceased to amaze the audience, leaving the show’s fans wondering what would happen next-she was caught up in a love triangle between Brandon and Dylan, became addicted to diet pills, then a cocaine user, got shot, raped, suffered from amnesia and miscarried a baby.

Talk about a woman’s ability to multi-task. No wonder there was no catfight between her and Shannen. She didn’t have the energy for it.
