Several Burger King Employees Fired Because of One Kitchen Sink Bath

Burger King has just gone through some difficult times when the video of one employee bathing in the sink of a fast-food restaurant was uploaded on the Internet.

The people in the restaurant, located in Xenia, Ohio, were having a normal day until the 25-year-old musician decided to celebrate his birthday by taking a nice bath during the work hours. Timothy Tackett was filmed for about four minutes while kicking back in the improvised pool; the clip appeared on the very popular social networking website mySpace on Tuesday and has recorded numerous views.

Burger King officials declared that the contracts of all the employees connected to the video have been terminated. The company’s main concern was that Timothy Tackett’s stunt could have provoked the spread of germs.

Mark McDonnell, the Greene County health commissioner, during an interview with WDTN-TV, said the first words that came to his head when seeing the clip were "oh my God." He explained that any type of bacteria on the man’s skin could have caused serious food poisonings to customers.

Company people thoroughly sanitized the sink and disposed of all the kitchen tools featured in the clip. However, the situation has not exactly come to an end as currently, an investigation is being carried out. Burger King officials said they were fully cooperating with the health department, which said prosecutors are to be contacted in order to see whether or not criminal charges can be filed.

Although not everyone was disturbed by the clip and actually got a good laugh out of it, some locals declared that because of it, they might never go inside a Burger King restaurant again.
