The second ad in the long anticipated Microsoft $300 million advertising campaign was unveiled. The spot debuted Thursday during CBS's broadcast of the reality show Big Brother. And now it’s all about Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates who both want to know what it feels like to live among ordinary people.

After we witnessed the two media moguls become friends in the first ad, we now find them in the average life, searching for an experience that'll let them connect with "real people." It’s all about connection really, the key word of the current four and a half minute commercial.

So you don’t have to be a genius to realize that what Microsoft is trying to do is to establish a strong and hopefully for them everlasting relationship between the company and its customers.

Seinfeld is the one who makes the whole message clear in the ad: "Why Bill? Because as we discussed, you and I are a little out of it. You're living in some kind of moon house hovering over Seattle like the mother ship; I've got so many cars, I get stuck in my own traffic. We need to connect with real people."

The spot ends with Seinfeld asking Gates about the next technological breakthroughs: "Frog with an e-mail, goldfish with a Web site, amoeba with a blog?" Moreover Seinfeld asks Gates to perform the robot dance if the answer to his question is a positive one. Gates surprisingly complies.

Microsoft hired award-winning ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky to create the campaign.
