Zurich - Football's governing body FIFA on Thursday announced that the second phase for World Cup tickets will start on Monday.

In a statement FIFA said that approximately 100,000 tickets will be made available during the phase. However, there will be no tickets for the semi-final and final matches of next year's World Cup finals.

Applications can be made at a bank in South Africa or via the FIFA website (www.FIFA.com).

"South African football fans who wish to apply at FNB branches will have to present a valid form of identification, while foreigners are required to show their passport.

"Each applicant can apply for up to four tickets per match and up to seven matches in total."

FIFA said that ticket prices start at 20 US dollars.

The organization also said that some 320,000 tickets were still available for the Confederations Cup, which will be held in the country in June.

"In order to boost ticket sales in South Africa, four ticketing centres have been set up."

These are to open from early May.
