It seems like Apple wants to keep his customers very close
next year, as its analysts and suppliers have already spread the news about the
company’s latest intentions.
Representatives from Goldman Sachs have stated that they
believe Apple would introduce two revisions to the iPhone in 2008, one major
and one minor, according to AppleInsider.
Analyst, David Bailey of Goldman Sachs also believes that
Apple will revive the Apple TV in 2008, potentially adding an LCD display to
the unit.
"The handset is expected to 'have a similar form factor
as the current version although it could have a different look and will
probably include 3G capability,"' AppleIndsier said, citing Bailey.
Before the next generation phone launch, Apple may release a
smaller iPhone upgrade with more flash memory in the first half of the year,
Bailey said.
"Apple will refresh its entire Mac line-up throughout
2008, but information about the potential launch of a sub notebook was scarce,
with one supplier saying that the product may be pushed out, citing possible
design issues," he added, according to AppleInsider.
The news is not totally a surprise as both Apple CEO Steve
Jobs and AT7T CEO Randall Stephenson have indicated that 2008 is the year for
the 3G iPhone.
Goldman also believes that Apple is getting ready to
introduce a newer version of Apple TV, which was welcomed with disappointment
in its first year. However, the report is ambiguous, saying that Apple would
attach an LCD screen to Apple TV. It is already known that Apple TV’s problems
have nothing to do with the lack of a display.
