Besides the fact that Santa Claus is in everyone’s hearts this time of the year, children are the ones who hope for a real Santa and some real presents. And the grown-ups have certainly thought to all kind of things as to make the communication between Santa and the children more accesible.
Some little ones might chose to write letters and draw pictures on them, as to send Santa the most original letter and favor. On the other side, some kids might use the Internet to get in touch with their favorite old man.
This year, Google and NORAD have chosen to track Santa’s locations in real time so the story of the kindfull bearded man would sound much more reallistic. Once the clock strikes 6 this Christmas’ Eve, every child will be able to search for Santa on the Internet and see when he will get to everyone’s homes.
Noradsanta.org can show you a full map of Santa’s locations together with high-resolution photos and videos of the red-coated man, his sledge and his reindeers. The same site also has to offer tracks of Santa to be downloaded by every little child.
If you add the NORAD Tracks Santa gadget on your iGoogle homepage, you will receive a box with the latest locations that Santa has been going through together with videos and maps right on your start page. In addition, if you install Google Maps for Mobile and search for „norad santa” you will receive instant updates on Santa’s locations too.
And it’s nice to see such things becuase children are very impressed with happenings that look so connected to the reality. Let’s hope that everyone will receive everything they have wished for during this Christmas’ Eve and have a Merry Christmas!
