Samsung Reveals Four New Phones, But Omnia HD Steals The Spotlight

Samsung wanted and got the spotlight at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, after unveiling its Omnia full-touch, HD-capable smartphone, as the blogosphere said it would do.
 
Omnia HD is based on the Symbian S60 OS, comes with a 3.7-inch full-touch AMOLED display (world’s largest), 16:9 screen, 16-million color display, 8-megapixel camera, 720P HD video recording and decoding capabilities, and super-fast Internet access of HSUPA 5.76Mbps and HSDPA 7.2Mbps.
 
Furthermore, it comes with an auto-rotating display and a 3D intuitive interface, which supports multi-task. The internal memory offers 8GB or 16GB of storage, with possibility to expand with an additional 32GB microSD card.
 
In addition to that, it comes with GPs with integrated compass, which enables navigation touch control and voice guidance via dual stereo speaker, Samsung explained.
 
Other features include mobile widgets, document viewer, 3D games, push e-mail, real-time video uploading, smart search and more. It also offers with Bluetooth v 2.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, and a battery with capabilities enhanced by the low-power consumption AMOLED touch screen.
 
But Omnia HD wasn’t the only phone Samsung announced in Barcelona. The company also revealed two BEAT edition mobile phones, which also integrate touch-screen technology, in addition to that, they are the ultimate dream of music lovers, and as Samsung said, they will take music on mobile phones to a whole new level of quality and exciting user experience.The fourth device by Samsung was the Ultra-Touch slider phone.
 
JK Shin, Executive Vice President and head of the Mobile Communication Division in Samsung Electronics said in a statement: This year we are proud to offer holistic mobile experiences through a wide-ranging choice of full-touch handsets and technological solutions to suit every style.
