Samantha Harris who has been co-hosting the show since the second season, told People magazine that she has some ideas for the participants in 'Dancing with the Stars.' Her top choice is the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star, Hugh Jackman. She said that she would be very happy if Jackman agreed to be a contestant on her show, convinced that he would do wonderfully, especially considering his previous roles on Broadway, rewarded with a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award for his performance in “The Boy From Oz” back in 2003. "He's a song and dance man. He's a Broadway guy," she told People. "He's got charisma and you know he can move."
"Dancing with the Stars", a popular dancing competition that pairs celebrity and professional dancers, will begin its new season in March. Contestants and their partners will be announced in the weeks to come.
The 40-year-old Hugh Jackman has not officially agreed to participate, nor has he said no to the offer, but we keep our fingers crossed in order to see him perform.
A former three-time host of the Tony Awards and nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in 2001's romantic film "Kate & Leopold.", Jackman will host the Academy Awards on the 22nd of February 2009. He will also be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2009. Among so many awards he received, Jackman has never been an Oscar nominee even though he presented such show in the past.
