Sam Lutfi, Britney Spears' former manager, has filed a lawsuit against the pop star and her parents, claiming defamation, libel and battery. The lawsuit comes only three days after a judge granted Ms Spears and her parents a restraining order against Lutfi, paparazzo and Britney’s ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and a lawyer, barring them from any contact with her, her parents or her two sons.
The grounds on which the restraining order was issued were that Lutfi had been controlling Britney’s life and finances by drugging her. The manager said that Spears’ claims have caused him "humiliation" and "distress," therefore he decided to fight back also with a lawsuit filed at Los Angeles Superior Court during which he said he had received death threats and that Jamie Spears, Britney’s father had punched him in the chest in January.
Lutfi also alleges that the singer was afraid of her father due to his violent and often unpredictable behavior and did not get along with her mother either. Furthermore, according to Lutfi, Britney began inquiring about obtaining restraining orders against her own parents.
Britney Spears has managed to stage a successful comeback after her public breakdown. This comeback included the release of a new album in December, “Circus.” The singer is very excited to start touring in March all across the US and the UK.
