The Rolling Stones have picked up their massive international tour once more, playing a concert in Belgium, where enthusiastic concertgoers managed to create a major traffic jam.
The musicians were avidly awaited by fans. They played in front of nearly 33,000 people in Werchter, a town near Brussels, according to BBC News. Concertgoers crowding in to see the show created a traffic jam which extended 50 kilometers.
The veterans’ performance was deemed a “triumph” by the Belgian newspaper De Morgen.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood are all in their early 60s.
The bigger bang tour, which started in 2005, will include gigs in France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Scandinavia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
The band also has dates in Serbia and Russia.
The Rolling Stones will headline the Isle of Wright Festival this weekend, which marks their first UK festival appearance in more than 30 years. Their last participation on a festival in the UK was in 1976’s The Knebworth Fair.
