Take-Two Interactive is definitely set on squeezing as much as it can from Grand Theft Auto, Midnight Club and other franchises which brought truckloads of money in the company’s vaults. So it made sure that some of the key people who made these video game series into the sales magnets they proved to be will continue working for the company.

Dan House, Sam Houser and Leslie Benzies, as well as other members of developer Rockstar’s creative team, have signed an agreement keeping them at the publisher’s beck and call until the end of 2012. Their tasks will probably revolve around taking Rockstar’s franchises to new levels of gaming value.
 
Also, the publisher intends to provide funds for a sort of sub-company which will exist practically inside Take-Two. Its mission will be to come up with fresh new IPs over which Take-Two will of course have exclusive publishing rights. This creative enclave will be headed by the crème de la crème of the Rockstar team. It’s good to hear that they don’t intend to entrench themselves in sequels to their older titles and that they’ll still strive to bring new games into the market.
 
According to IGN, Rockstar founder and executive producer Sam Houser said that his colleagues and himself are “excited” about the prospect of continuing the partnership with publisher Take-Two. He also appreciates the fact that the new management team of Take-Two helped them “protect the unique atmosphere that fosters creativity and innovation”.

No word yet on Rockstar’s and Take-Tow’s exact future priorities. Maybe they will dedicate their efforts to build on the success they had with games like GTA, Rock Band or Bully; or maybe they’ll invest more of their time in this new studio tasked with creating brand new titles.
