Rockstar Games has recently announced its DS GTA: Chinatown Wars, which will be out in North America and Europe on March 17 and 20. The game is developed by Rockstar Leeds and it's an old school top-down affair following the dirty business of the Chinese triads in the well-known Liberty City. Chinatown wars brings a new level of interactivty to its sprawling open environments. The players will find an epic tale of crime and corruption within the Triad crime syndicate, navigating their way through the streets with a DS touch-screen.
The game was originally slated for a release before the end of January, but got pushed back until the next year. Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games, told the media: Rockstar Leeds have once again created a game that far exceeds our standard for deep and innovative entertainment. We are incredibly excited to share this enormous and uncompromising Grand Theft Auto experience with DS fans."
In related news, it looks like the recently-released fix for GTA IV is reported to have caused a lot of new issues. Unfortunately, by now, Rockstar chose to comment only to one, offerings a few tips in order to solve a problem many users confront with. Rockstar's PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV hit the stores just in time for the Holiday shopping season. However, the game is crammed with major performance hiccups. In order to solve these, nVidia provided a new set of graphics drivers to help resolve the situation, while Rockstar quickly released a patch, as previously mentioned.
