Rock Legend AC/DC to Be Featured in First Exclusive Rock Band

Rock masters and pioneers AC/DC will be honored by an exclusive version of the Rock Band game. Electronic Arts, MTV Games, and Harmonix announced that a new Rock Band game focused on legendary Australian group AC/DC will be released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 2 and PlayStation 3 on November 2 in North America. A Wii edition will arrive on November 16.

Wal-Mart will be the exclusive United States dealer, selling the AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack standalone game at its retail locations and online store. The game will cost $39.88 for the Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 versions and $29.88 for the PlayStation 2 version.

The game will feature 18 of the band's most popular tracks: "Thunderstruck," "Shoot to Thrill," "Back in Black," "Hell Ain't a Band Place to Be," "Heatseeker," "Fire Your Guns," "Jailbreak," "The Jack," "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap," "Moneytalks," "Hell's Bells," "High Voltage," "Whole Lotta Rosie," "You Shook Me All Night Long," "T.N.T.," "Let There Be Rock," "Highway to Hell," "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)." All these great tracks will also be available for play in Rock Band and Rock Band 2 by entering an export authentication code for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions.

AC/DC was founded in 1973 in Sydney, Australia, by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. They sold more than 69 million albums in the United States and their Back in Black album, released as a tribute to lead singer Bon Scott (who died in 1980 after essentially drinking himself to death), sold more than 20 million copies.

On October 18, the band will release their sixteenth studio album, Black Ice, in Australia. It will be launched two days later in the United States also.
