The father of singer Rihanna told People magazine that his daughter should dump Chris Brown for allegedly attacking her. Mr. Ronal Fenty said he couldn’t believe it when he heard that his daughter was attacked by the hip hop singer.
"I know my daughter," said Fenty, 55. As for Brown, he said, "You think you know somebody, but you really don't."
Chris Brown allegedly attacked Rihanna in Los Angeles last Sunday and was arrested for it. The hip hop artist may face battery charges. Rihanna’s father said his daughter, whom he last saw in Barbados on Thursday, is all right, but she has some bruising.
"At some point, she will speak out. I hope she will stand up for women all over the world," he added.
The incident occurred as the two singers were shouting at each other as they drove home from a pre-Grammys party last weekend. They both canceled their performances at the show.
On the other hand, Chris Brown’s father said his son is remorseful following his arrest on suspicion of attacking Rihanna, People magazine reported.
Mr. Clinton Brown said his hip hop singing son is at home, but did not said where exactly.
"He's reflecting on this situation," Clinton Brown told People.
Mr. Brown added that his son is very concerned with the situation and wants to make sure that Rihanna is all right.
Police did not mention yet if the victim of Chris Brown’s aggression was in fact Rihanna, but police sources told the Los Angeles Times that the R&B singer was at the receiving end.
