Ridiculous Questions Get Ironic Answers from Brad Pitt and George Clooney

The Venice Film Festival gathers both A-list celebrities and nutty reporters at the same time. You just can’t have one without the other.

This morning’s press conference did not make an exception. The stars of the conference were, of course, fresh father Brad Pitt and his pal George Clooney, who are in Italy’s City of Bridges to promote their latest film, “Burn After Reading,” whose world premiere is scheduled to open the 65th Annual Venice Film Festival on Wednesday night.

Evidently, the questions were based more on personal matters rather than professional ones.

For instance, a reporter asked the two if they preferred to win an Academy Award or to fall for a beautiful Italian woman. Talking about silly questions.

George Clooney told his friend not to answer, in an attempt to preserve a cheerful atmosphere despite the generally appalling and ridiculous queries.

Moving on to even more ludicrousness, another reporter asked Brad Pitt how the newborn twins were doing and whether they started resembling their parents. George Clooney strived one more time to save the day and said: “The twins are fine,” as reported by Reuters.

Even more awkwardness entered the scene, as a journalist initially asked Pitt whether he planned on having any more children, to subsequently ask Clooney if he considered marriage or at least having kids.

Clooney ironically responded: “I am so surprised to hear that question. That is honestly the first time I’ve been asked that question. I am getting married and having children today. Brad?”

“And until then I’ll be sharing mine with him. I’ll have two more by next year,” Pitt added at his friend’s request.

The conference was thorny to the last drop, as a female reporter asked Brad Pitt, “What do I have to do to sign up for your gym like in the film, Brad? And if I sign up, would you be running after me? Both of you.”

George Clooney was sarcastic once more and, quoted by Reuters, he said: “I’m afraid, from the looks of it, we might be running from you.”
