Resident Evil 5 Demo Released on Xbox 360 for U.S. Gold Members

Let the mayhem begin!

Resident Evil 5 demo version is available for Xbox 360 "Gold" members in the United States. It seems that this demo version will be a bit different from the one released in Japan. The difference consists in extra levels and a few new weapons to use and a new character.

The new Resident Evil 5 demo version has arrived a week earlier than expected on XBOX 360. The action set is in Africa and the video game’s hero Chris Redfield will fight the bio-terrorist attacks with a new partner at his side - Sheva Alomar.

The game’s hero travels to Africa to find out what or who’s behind the progenitor virus seen in RE: Code Veronica. To spice it up a bit more, the virus was released upon the locals, who are going berserk after Redfield.

The demo also features three new levels of single- and two player co-op play.

The demo version can be downloaded and if you are not a Resident Evil Gold member you can purchase a Gold XBOX LIVE account for $50 a year.

The "Silver" members will have to wait for it until Thursday, while PlayStation 3 owners will get their hands on it sometime next week.
