Very good news for all the Apple fans out there: Steve Jobs, the company’s already legendary CEO, is still running the show. According to a Wall Street Journal report, Mr. Jobs is still involved in the decision-making process when it comes to the company’s products.
Furthermore, Steve Jobs is expected to return at the company sometime in June this year. The report said that, although Apple’s Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook is the man who runs the day-to-day business, Steve Jobs is still very much involved in developing the wider strategies and the company’s products. Mr. Jobs was reportedly very involved in the developing of the new iPhone that will run on the iPhone 3.0 software unveiled by the company about a month ago. The report also mentioned that Jobs was involved in the developing of a new portable gadget that is smaller than a laptop, but larger than the iPhone.
The 54-year-old Apple CEO handed the operations to Mr. Cook in January. Mr. Jobs did that in order to take care of his health and seek treatment for a hormone imbalance. It is rumored that the Apple CEO and co-founder is suffering, again, from the pancreatic cancer which apparently left him about four years ago.
During Jobs absence, the company has made efforts to convince customers and investors that Apple doesn’t live or die with Mr. Jobs’s fate. With the help of its very capable executives, the company will remain on top.
