As kind of expected,
“Trasnformers” has been a hit. Not only a hit at the box office, but also a
nostalgic return in their childhood for the old fans of the Hasbro toys that
has first appeared in the 1980s.
Starring young actors like now-famous Shia
LaBeouf, as well as other popular ones like Jon Voight for example,
“Transformers” has broke box office records since its official opening day of
Tuesday, when it took in no less than $27.4 million.
Before even hitting the
weekend, the movie has had $65.7 million at the box office. The film’s creator,
Michael Bay has already started to think of a
sequel, while Paramount Pictures improved the occasion for promoting an
upcoming action movie titled “Cloverfield”.
Being already famous for his
big-budget spectacular movie such as “Pearl Harbor” and “Armageddon”, Michael Bay
has reached a high point
of fame with his latest creation.
He had previously announced that his next
project would be a screen adaptation of “Prince of Persia”, which was a famous
game. But now, that “Transformers” is such a hit, a sequel would be just right
to be thought about. So, would Bay have the necessary time for working to both
the sequel and “Prince of Persia”?
On the other hand, would Paramount’s “Cloverfield”,
which has been a top secret movie project till the other days, become another
box officer record breaker after being promoted by “Transfomers”? Being
directed by Matt Reeves and produced by J.J. Abrams, the new movie would have
good potential, while its cast formed of relative unknown actors could be
positive surprise.
However, till “Cloverfield” will
hit the screens, “Transformers” is breaking box office records. Its creators
are happy, its fans are even happier, so everybody has been overwhelmed with
gratitude!
