In the aftermath of Chris Brown and Rihanna’s violent altercation almost three weeks ago, many celebrities emerged with support and advice for Rihanna while slamming Brown, whose career will be harder to resurrect than maybe Britney Spears’.
However, Bow Wow spoke out in what seemed like Brown’s defense saying “We're not perfect. We put our pants on the same way everybody else puts their pants on,” Bow told MTV News.
Although he admitted it was hard to tell how the incident will affect Brown’s career in the future, fans should understand that he's no different than anybody else. As artists, they have a responsibility to make records, tour and please fans, but they are still human.
Bow added that even though he’s good friends with Brown, he didn’t reach out to him because he didn’t want to be “another person calling him and wanting to talk to him.”
Ultimately, Bow Wow said the best thing for the two is privacy and for fans to pray. “The only thing you could really do is just pray for him and pray for her and hope that they can get back on their two feet and do what we love them for doing,” he said.
Since the incident, the 19-year-old, who was dubbed the “next Michael Jackson,” has been dropped from both a Wrigley's chewing gum and a “Got Milk?” ad campaign, while radio station 103.5 the BOMB said the altercation between the two artists is a too serious thing; therefore, several radio stations across the country have pulled Brown's songs from the airwaves.
The latest news in the Rihanna Chris Brown story is that the D.A. is still waiting for evidence from the police to move forward with the case, according to a spokesperson quoted by E! News. The incident is still under LAPD investigation at this time. Some reports claim the case against Brown is in jeopardy, and Rihanna, who was initially believed to be cooperating with the LAPD, has since backed out of helping the police.
Brown has not been spotted in public since the altercation, but will face a judge when he is formally charged on March 5. He has reportedly enrolled in anger management classes.
