Rainn Wilson Will Be a Transformer

Rainn Wilson, who plays the assistant regional manager Dwight Schrute in ‘The Office,’ has announced in a MTV interview that he would be cast in the sequel of the much appreciated movie ‘Transformers’.

Wilson said that it would be a tiny role, more like a cameo. When asked whether he would be a transformer, the actor said that he would be a professor at the college where Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) would be learning. But he will not be just any professor. The actor said that he would turn into a robot and then into a car.

Of course, this is very probably just a joke, but him being cast in the movie shows director Michael Bay's intentions of giving the film even more comedy flavor. If we take into account the fact that Jonah Hill, the star from Superbad, was offered the role of Sam Witwicky’s roommate, it becomes very clear that the ‘Transformers 2’ movie plans to shake the audience with laughter.

Even though Hill has refused the role, Rainn Williams seemed to be quite glad to have been offered his. However, the actor didn’t want to give any insight on what the film is going to be about, or what his character’s place in the story could be. Wilson said that he hadn’t read the script, and that he didn’t know what it was all about.

The crew of the movie is setting up camp in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where it will shoot some scenes at the Lehigh University. Rainn Wilson will co-star together with Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel.
