Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Justin Timberlake, T.I., Kanye West and Jay-Z will all perform at this year’s Grammys ceremony on February 8 in Los Angeles as it was reported Monday morning.
Radiohead are also nominated for five awards, including Best Alternative Music Album for their seventh album, "In Rainbows." This will be the first time the Oxford band have played at the show, although the quintet have previously won two Best Alternative Album awards for 2000's “Kid A” and 1997's “OK Computer.”
Coldplay, Lil Wayne The Jonas Brothers, Jennifer Hudson and Katy Perry will also be appearing live at the awards ceremony. Lil Wayne leads the nominations and is up for prizes in eight categories, with Coldplay in seven and Radiohead in five.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z, Wayne, T.I. and West will team to perform the hit single "Swagga Like Us," while T.I. and Timberlake will also perform together. Moreover McCartney will be backed by Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl on drums.
With the addition of Radiohead, the list of Album of the Year performers now includes three nominees (Wayne and Coldplay are the others), with the only names missing so far being Ne-Yo, nominated for “Year of the Gentleman,” and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, who are being honored for their bluegrass collaboration, “Raising Sand.”
In a nutshell, start looking forward to it, as the 51st annual Grammy Award Ceremony looks surprisingly promising.
