Two more years of Rachael Ray’s cooking.
Rachel has signed a new contract for two year with the Food Network.
She will be the host a new series, “Rachael’s vacation.”
Rachel will continue to be the host of the currently “30 Minutes
Meals” show, but she will be shooting 60 episodes a year, instead of the
currently 80 that are being tapped.
“Rachael’s vacation” will start airing January 12. This show
is a travel series that will show Ray visiting international cities, exploring
its foods and lifestyles, exploring street festivals, farmer’s markets and even
shoe shops, Reuters informs.
President of Food Network, Brooke Johnson said: "Rachael
is the quintessential example of the homegrown stars we create at Food Network.
She has been with us since 2001, and we have built a strong partnership that
will continue for years to come and bring more new and exciting projects,"
Hollywood Reporter quotes.
Ray began in 2001 with “30 Minute Meals” show. She also
signed a two-year renewal for her daytime talk show.
Having signed the new deal, Rachael Ray is now the biggest
star of the cable network company, after Emeril Lagasse’s series “Emeril Live”
got cancelled and stopped tapping last week. Emeril will remain at the network
for a new deal and is the host of “The Essence of Emeril.”
Another star of the Food Network that has left is Mario
Batali. Batali left due to a dispute regarding the contract, in October.
