The “James Bond” series was one of the most successful franchises in cinematographic history. 6 great actors have impersonated the British MI6 agent and so far, 5 of them have been dark haired with brown eyes.
The so called “original Bond” was Scotsman Sean Connery, who played James Bond in six of the 22 official Bond movies, namely “Dr. No”, “Diamonds are Forever”, “From Russia with Love”, “Goldfinger”, “Thunderball” and “You Only Live Twice”, between 1962 and 1971. In 1969, he was replaced by George Lazenby for “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.”
The following “Bond”, Roger Moore, played the agent in seven movies, which were “Live and Let Die”, “The Man With the Golden Gun”, “The Spy Who Loved Me”, “Moonraker”, “For Your Eyes Only”, “Octopussy” and “A View to a Kill”.
The Aston Martin was then driven by Timothy Dalton, in “The Living Daylights” and “License to Kill.” The next actor to sip the shaken – not stirred – Martini was Pierce Brosnan, who was very successful as the famous spy in “Golden Eye”, “Tomorrow Never Dies”, “The World is Not Enough” and “Die Another Day.”
Take a look at all of these fine actors and you will see similar physical traits, especially the black hair and brown eyes. Then, take a look at the actor who is currently playing James Bond and you are sure to notice a significant difference: Daniel Craig is blonde and blue-eyed, albeit just as dreamy as any other Bond.
The latest Bond movie, starring Daniel Craig, is “Quantum of Solace.” It opened in the United States just recently and has earned $70.4 million on its first weekend of being shown in Northern America and Canada, beating “Die Another Day” by 50% and Craig’s Bond debut, “Casino Royale,” by 75%.
