The hottest thing about “Quantum of Solace” is definitely
Olga Kurylenko. While Maxim magazine named the Ukrainian beauty the sexiest
Bond girl ever, thus leaving out extremely good-looking ladies including Ursula
Andress, Jane Seymour, Halle
Berry and Eva Green, she is also
the only one to offer the new superspy movie a bit of human touch and appeal.
And the actress who turns 29 on November 14, the same day
the movie is due to hit North American theaters, told the magazine that the
outstandingly hot body she exposes in the film was mainly the result of the
training schedule for the Bond movie. She said that she practiced body-flight
training, which she said was very similar to skydiving, adding that it was
“addictive” and that she would unquestionably try it again.
However, she explained that she did not enjoy taking her
clothes off in front of the camera and that she felt uncomfortable to be naked.
What she did like, nevertheless, was shooting guns, explaining that she learned
a lot about weapons.
In “Quantum of Solace,” Olga Kurylenko’s character, Camille,
is the female reflection of James Bond, a person determined to obtain revenge
by any means. The two make an awesome pair, but they don’t actually get to
consummate their love, at least not in a film scene.
Too bad the plot doesn’t work and leaves you wondering at
times whether the action really has a story. Okay, I got the fight moments, the
explosions, and the fires. But a bit of a story wouldn’t have done any harm. On
the contrary.
