A representative for Heather Locklear confirmed that the actress is fine after Saturday night's incident when the Ventura County Fire Department received a 911 call claiming that someone at Locklear’s residence was in danger of attempting suicide.
"[I] spoke with Heather and she is fine. She never requested medical assistance and did not place a 911 call. Nor did anyone from her house call 911 or place a call requesting medical assistance," her rep said in a statement Sunday night.
Apparently, someone called 911, reporting that the blonde actress would try to kill herself, but when the Ventura Fire Department and two paramedics units arrived at her Woodland Hills home on Saturday, March 8, they determined there was no suicide attempt made and left 10 minutes later.
According to Ventura County Fire Department Captain Barry Parker, "Ms. Locklear said she was fine and there appeared to be no problem. Nobody in the house needed medical attention so we left after about 10 minutes."
"We're satisfied this was a call from a concerned citizen, not a malicious call," Parker said further, adding that no one at Locklear's home had anything to do with the call.
It was later determined that the call was made by the actress' psychiatrist, after speaking with her on the phone, but Locklear's rep rejected the claim.
"As previously stated by the Ventura County Fire Department, they responded to a call that had no merit and left almost immediately. No psychiatrist called 911 on Ms. Locklear’s behalf," the rep added.
