Potential Octodad Insists On DNA Testing

The man who appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Monday saying he might be the biological father of Nadya Suleman’s newborn octuplets, requested DNA paternity testing but insisted he is willing to help Suleman raise the children regardless of the results.

Denis Beaudoin, who said he donated sperm on three occasions while he dated Suleman for three years almost ten years ago, was a little suspicious of Suleman’s requests for sperm but he “cared about her so much” he didn’t ask her any questions. She reportedly told him she was suffering from ovarian cancer and couldn’t conceive without the help of a doctor.

Following Beaudoin’s appearance on the show, Suleman denied that he was the father saying he is infertile, according to ABC, and agreed to paternity tests being carried out. Suleman said she used the sperm from one single donor and he knows who he is.

It has been reported that the father of the octuplets is David Soloman. Suleman neither confirmed nor denied this. She did say, however, that there was only one donor for all of her kids and that David Soloman is an “amazing friend.”

Though he and Suleman never talked about marriage, Beaudoin said when he donated the sperm he thought it would be part of “starting a family” together at some point.

When he heard about Suleman giving birth to eight babies, Beaudoin said he was “shocked and surprised” and didn’t believe her claims that he wasn’t the father.

“It just seems like a lot of her statements that she's made have been really inaccurate.” he told Chris Cuomo in the exclusive interview. “She initially told me the whole reason for donating sperm in the first place was to get pregnant, because she was not going to be able to have kids. And it has turned into this.”

However, Beaudoin recalled Suleman as a “fun” and “really great girl [with] an infectious laugh” whom friends had nicknamed “Giggles,” but he barely recognizes her anymore.

“She looks different, sounds different,” he said. “She’s just not the Nadya I remember.”

Married and with two children of his own, Beaudoin still wants to help Suleman with her fourteen kids because he doesn’t believe she can do it alone. It was revealed that before the birth of the octuplets, the two had not spoken for several years.

Nadya Suleman, who is a 33-year-old unemployed, single mother, sparked public outrage after giving birth to octuplets on January 26.

All 14 of her children were conceived through in vitro fertilization. Fertility experts questioned whether medical guidelines were met when the embryos were implanted on the last occasion.
