The photographer, who claimed Pierce Brosnan assaulted him two months ago in a Malibu parking lot, is seeking revenge.
After prosecutors decided not to file any criminal charges against the 54-year-old "James Bond" star for allegedly attacking photog Rob Rosen in the parking lot of a Malibu shopping center on October 26, the photographer filed a suit against Brosnan accusing him of assault, battery and negligence in connection with their run-in.
According to reports, Rosen told police that he approached Brosnan who was with his kids outside the Mexican eatery Casa Escobar and complimented him on his 007-embodying skills while snapping his picture. The actor reacted violently "his eyes went crazy," TMZ.com reported at the time, and began cursing and yelling at Rosen "Why don't you get a real f**king job!"
Shortly after, Brosnan got physical and punched the photographer in the ribs. According to a witness, the pap instinctively reacted by kicking Pierce back.
According to the complaint filed by Rosen in L.A. Superior Court, Brosnan "suddenly and without warning" attacked him, causing "severe physical and emotional pain and injuries, including bruised ribs."
According to Rosen’s lawyer who labeled Brosnan’s behavior as "out-of-control," the lawsuit is seeking undisclosed damages, claiming the injuries sustained from the attack will cause him to "lose earnings in the future."
An investigation was conducted into the incident but prosecutors couldn’t press charges due to insufficient evidence.
"Los Angeles County prosecutors have decided NOT to file any criminal charges against actor Pierce Brosnan, who allegedly got into a scuffle with a photographer in Malibu last month. The District Attorney's office found that there was insufficient evidence to pursue a battery charge against the former 'James Bond' actor," the Los Angeles County District Attorney said in a statement last month.
