Peaches Geldof Marries Boyfriend Max Drummey in Las Vegas

Peaches Geldof and her boyfriend Max Drummey got married yesterday in Las Vegas. The two have been together for four weeks before they decided to exchange vows in Las Vegas’ Little White Chapel.

According to The Sun, Peaches Geldof’s father Bob Geldof didn’t get the chance to walk his daughter down the aisle, as he was informed of his daughter’s plans little time before the ceremony. Peaches Geldof, 19, and her husband Chester French drummer Max Drummey, 23, became a pair after Peaches split from her previous boyfriend Fairs Badwan.

A spokesman for Geldof said that Bob Geldof gave the recent newlyweds his blessing, even if he didn’t take part to the ceremony. Peaches’ spokesman also confirmed that the couple was very happy and their families and friends gave their “full support.”

“The couple tied the knot in a simple low-key ceremony in Las Vegas last week, whilst holidaying in America. Their marriage has the full support of their family and friends,” said Peaches Geldof’s spokesman, according to The Sun.

Apparently Peaches Geldof and Max Drummey, a Harvard anthropology graduate, have known each other for more than a year but they got together last month after Max Drummey’s band played at the iTunes festival in London.

Rev. Steven Fabretti, the one who performed the ceremony which lasted about 15 minutes, said that the couple looked happy.

“They held hands and looked eye-to-eye - with him still wearing sunglasses - during the ceremony. I remember the bride looked very young and pale and quite angelic,” Steven Fabretti told The Sun.

Bob Geldof and Peaches’ mother, the late Paula Yates, also got married in Las Vegas in the 1980s but they separated years later. Paula Yates became Michael Hutchance’s lover who was found dead on Nov. 22, 1997. Yates died in 2000 from a heroin overdose.

Peaches Geldof is known for presenting some youth programs like Peaches Geldof: Teenage Mind and A Beginner’s Guide to Islam.
