One of the three judges on "American Idol," Paula Abdul, tripped and fell, reportedly breaking her nose and one of her toes, in an attempt to avoid stepping on one of her dogs.

Abdul’s publicist, David Brokaw, confirmed the reports saying the accident occurred on Saturday and left the 44-year-old judge on one of the most popular reality shows in U.S., bruised and sore.

Despite the incident, Brokaw said she won’t miss the last two episodes of the singing talent contest on Tuesday and Wednesday, when one of the two contestants left on the show, Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis, will be voted the American Idol.  

"If you didn't know better, you wouldn't know she had gone through anything," Brokaw said.

"She's uncomfortable, but she looked great," he added referring to Abdul’s appearances in a series of interviews meant to promote "Idol" finale.

"She is in pain. No question about that. But you'd never know anything happened to her. There are no bandages. She's got some bruises on her arms and on one of her legs," Brokaw said.

During an interview on the syndicated celebrity TV show, "Extra," Abdul explained the incident saying: "I took a nasty fall ... trying not to hurt my dog. I bruised myself on my arm ... my chest, my waist, all the way down to my hip. All for my little chubby Tulip."

Fortunately, her dog was not hurt.
