Paul Newman’s good looks arouse urbanity, sophistication and
toughness. He shaped different outlooks, gauged chances, projected paths and set
up confusion. In a nutshell, he was an insightful person. Although he could have
been different, he wasn’t fierce, he avoided being bossy and was far from being
a womanizer. However, he was always on the ball and this was his way of being
charming. He managed, too.
Paul Newman’s talent helped him become one of the best
actors of all times and the characters he gave life to have never vanished and
are still wearing his big blue eyes.
He was a true artist, as well as a renowned philanthropist.
In cooperation with writer A.E. Hotchner, he set up in 1982 a line of food
products called Newman’s Own. The business, however, was a charitable one, as
revenue was donated to various organizations. As of 2006, the franchise has
resulted in more than $200 million in donations.
Paul Newman was aware of the fact that a pretty face could
help, but that it was definitely not enough in order to highlight the true
nature of a human being. He could stop at any moment. He was known for his good
looks and incredible skills, but he had to do better than that. That was his
way of thinking and, thus, he walked on a path that would bring him where he is
now and would offer a unique sparkle to his already legendary name.
While those close to Mr. Newman will always remember him as
the inspired person he was, others can hark back to the “Butch Cassidy” days or
that unforgettable “Long, Hot Summer.”
