Former "Dirty Dancing" star, Patrick Swayze, who seems to be keeping positive since being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year, released a statement sharing his "good news" about how well he responds to the treatment.
"I am continuing treatment at Stanford [University Medical Center] and the great news is I continue to respond well," the 55-year-old actor, who announced he was suffering from pancreatic cancer in March this year, was quoted by People.com as saying.
When the shocking news of his disease first struck, Swayze's personal doctor revealed that the actor had all the reasons to be optimistic.
"Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment," Dr. George Fisher said in a statement at the time, adding that grim reports regarding survival rates were "absolutely untrue."
Besides flying back and forth between Los Angeles and his ranch in New Mexico, Swayze said he and his wife Linda were "enjoying the arrival of spring and new baby calves".
"This past weekend, we spent a fun time with friends in Reno for Lisa's birthday, where I took her jewelry shopping at Kenny G & Company and were able to find her something really special and much deserved!" the statement added. Swayze and his wife, who are rumored to have renewed their wedding vows recently, will celebrate their 33rd wedding anniversary in June.
On Friday, the couple were spotted having a genuinely good time watching the Los Angeles Lakers play the San Antonio Spurs in the second game of the NBA Western Conference finals.
