Patrick Swayze is one of Hollywood’s most beloved actors, and has been inducted into pop-culture after he portrayed Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing. The next part that got him undying recognition was that of Sam Wheat in Ghost, where his character is shot by a thief and he realizes he has become a ghost after he sees his girlfriend cradling his corpse. For the part of Sam in this romantic fantasy film, Patrick Swayze was awarded well-deserved Golden Globe nominations.
Except for his acting career, Patrick Swayze is an accomplished dancer, which is precisely why he was cast in Dirty Dancing. Moreover, he is also a successful singer and songwriter. Leaving aside his career-related achievements, Patrick Swayze was also named Sexiest Man Alive in 1991, by People Magazine.
As of late, Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Although he initially intended to keep his disease away from the public eye, he finally decided to release a statement, letting the public know about his health problems. Despite suffering from excruciating pain,Patrick Swayze is not calling it quits with his acting career and has taken up a new role, on television series The Beast, which will start airing January 15th.
Unfortunately, Patrick Swayze has run into more health problems, which have led to his admission to hospital. It seems that Patrick Swayze has been hospitalized for pneumonia, as announced by Robert Debitetto, the president of A&E cable television network.
