At least for this month, the Hollywood can enjoy the title sexiest woman in the world after she topped Maxim magazine’s list of the 100 hottest women in the world, beating strong competition like Jessica Alba who came in second and Scarlett Johansson, who placed third.

"I couldn't be more flattered to be honored as the No. 1 girl in Maxim's Hot 100 list!" Lohan said in the statement.

Freshly released from rehab, the "Georgia Rule" actress knocked down "Desperate Housewives" star, Eva Longoria, who held the crown for the past two years. Longoria slipped to no. 9.

"There is no other star in the world (who) causes more of a stir in the public eye than Lindsay," said Maxim editor in chief Jimmy Jellinek.

"Her every move is watched and reported on." Jellinek described his young, male readership as being "obsessed" with the 20-year-old Lohan, who spent the weekend soaking up the sun (with a new boyfriend) in the Bahamas.

Jessica Biel, who recently complained she’s not being given certain roles because she’s too sexy, placed fifth, followed by Ali Larter, Eva Mendes, Rihanna, Eva Longoria, Fergie, Sienna Miller, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce Knowles and Katherine Heigl.

Fellow party lovers Britney Spears and Paris Hilton failed to make the cut.
