Worldwide Entertainment Group has filed a lawsuit against
Paris Hilton, 27, claiming that she did not accomplish the "reasonable
promotion and publicity" part of her agreement in a 2006 comedy called “National Lampoon's Pledge
This!”.
The movie was a real disaster from all points of view and apparently
producers are now trying to get back some of the money they had lost because of
the movie. It was voted the 15th-worst film of all time on the Internet Movie
Database Website.
It also featured Carmen Electra and Holly Valance and it was
filmed in 2004 in Miami.
The papers filed at the US District Court in Miami claim that her
company Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc. was paid $1 million for her acting. Hilton
played Victoria English, the president of an exclusive college sorority. Worldwide
Entertainment Group, the company that produced the movie is suing her for
$75,000.
It is said that an agreement between Worldwide Entertainment
Group and Hilton was signed back in 2004 regarding the production and
distribution of the movie. It appears that she actually turned down interviews
and talk shows to promote the film.
The scandal is thought to have begun when some scenes
involving nudity were included in the film without receiving Hilton’s approval. Hilton also stars in “The Hottie and the Nottie,” released
in 2008.
Apart from singing and dancing she is also working on a
clothing line that she plans to name "That's Hot" and released her
fourth perfume called “Cancan” in October 2007.
