Paris Hilton took some time off from visiting schools and orphanages in South Africa to organize herself a VIP party in Johannesburg, all part of her charity work.
Just as she promised last year after her stint in jail, the Hollywood socialite traveled to Africa only it wasn't exactly to help the poor, she accompanied her boyfriend Benji Madden whose band, Good Charlotte, performed in Johannesburg during the weekend.
However, Paris did make some time on Thursday to visit her young fans at Jakaranda Kinder Huis school in Pretoria and sign some autographs. She impressed staff at the school as "a lovely human being, a gentle lady."
The most interesting part of the trip happened Friday night, after Madden's first performance at the My Coke Fest 2008, when Paris and her boyfriend attended a last-minute party at the Fashion TV Cafe in Fourways, northern Johannesburg.
Sporting a full-length turquoise halterneck gown, the hotel heiress was welcomed by a swarm of paparazzi and screaming fans before the bodyguards escorted her to the VIP section. Inside, she and Madden were spotted being very affectionate with each other throughout the entire party.
"We're really happy ... I feel very safe and very secure," Paris recently said of her romance with Madden.
Speaking to the crowd at the party, Paris said she "loved South Africa, the accent and everyone," as quoted by People.com.
According to an observer, whenever Paris leaned over the balcony of the VIP area, to wave, the crowd went hysterical every time. The whole bash was over after the hostess departed close to 2.30 am.
Next on Paris' schedule is Madden's concert in Cape Town on Monday and then more traveling, to Munich, Istanbul, Prague and Budapest, all before the end of March.
