Bruce Pardo seems to have got too much suffering after he had divorced his wife. So much that he killed eight people on Christmas’ Eve. Dressed in Santa Claus he went to his ex-wife’s house and started shooting everybody in an act of revenge. Further investigations made on the case showed that Pardo, 45, had planned the event several months ago and his murder list was longer than he could accomplish.

Yet, the fact that he had shot himself in the head and died didn’t leave him the time to kill other people, like his mother or the attorney who had taken care of his divorce. The police discovered that Pardo’s plan was thoroughly thought and detailed.

He had a getaway car together with many guns, a plane ticket to the Midwest and ammunition which is only sold outside the United States. For the attack he committed on Christmas’ Eve, Pardo got four guns which were later discovered after the fire from the house had been stopped.

The 45-year-old had no violent past, but he intended to also kill his mother, whom he thought to be present at his ex-wife’s house for the Christmas party. Pardo believed that his own mother sided with his ex-wife in their divorce. Yet, the woman felt ill that night and decided to stay at home.

Police also discovered that Pardo had left a car parked near the attorney’s house in the day of the attack. He filled it with maps, clothes and a fuel tank, but he had never made to accomplish his plan, because he killed himself and burnt during the fire that he created.
