Osama Lutfi vs. Commissioner in Britney Spears Case

Britney Spears' former manager and confidant, Osama Lutfi, just won't give it a rest when it comes to making himself noticed.

He might have agreed to keep away from Britney Spears for another 30 days, but Lutfi sees nothing wrong with interfering in the pop singer's conservatorship case.

On Friday, Lutfi filed legal papers objecting to the Superior Court commissioner assigned to Britney's conservatorship case, but didn't make a court appearance Monday at which Commissioner Reva Goetz extended a temporary restraining order against him until April 16, Associated Press reported.

"Please take notice that Osama "Sam" Lutfi will not stipulate to the above-referenced case being heard by Reva Goetz, commissioner presiding, to whom the above-entitled case has been assigned," wrote his filling.

"Sam did agree to a 30-day extension of the restraining order," Lutfi spokesman Michael Sands told E! News on Tuesday. "However, Sam Lutfi is not stipulating to Commissioner [Reva] Goetz. If need be, Lutfi can be heard in front of a Los Angeles Superior Court judge."

According to a Superior Court spokesman, the document failed to reach the courtroom in time for Monday's hearing but Lutfi can appear in court on April 16 to ask for the case to be reassigned to a judge. Apparently, Lutfi and Sands believe that while the commissioner did not graduate from an accredited law school, she might also have a conflict of interest in the case.

"There's nothing out of the ordinary that Sam is doing," Sands insisted. "No person has to agree to a commissioner hearing the case. A commissioner is not a judge. If need be, and if this is going to go on, unfortunately, then [Lutfi wants it] heard in front of a judge. Basically, I just believe that Sam would like all of this to go away."

Sands went further on with his statements to the media saying that "if Sam brought his witnesses to court, need be, it would take the wind out of the conservators' sails," which sounds almost like a threat. "We all should just take it down and just have peace and harmony and everybody be left alone. Let it go away quietly," the rep added.
