Google’s wonder web e-mail has just got one more gadget: Tasks.
Now, you can read your e-mails and at the same time organize your day or your month.
The feature reminded me of Google Calendar, but a
lightweight version with a single category. Adding an entry about your program
requires just a simple click and typing the desired name.
The application stays on top of the Gmail window and it
supports operations like rearranging the tasks or adding a certain date.
However, the most interesting feature is the one that allows
turning e-mail and tasks. Imagine how convenient this is! In a matter of minutes,
you can have all your ToDo e-mail turn into Tasks entries.
In order to access the new application, you should first
enable it in the Labs tab, which can be found under Settings entry of Gmail.
And while you are at it, check some other great products
from Gmail Labs. You could find something useful to suit your needs!
GMail Labs was launched in June and consists of a series of
experimental features out of which users only can choose to keep those that
they like. In the end, the most popular ones are to be implemented in Google’s
core products.
