Oprah Winfrey needs no introduction – yet it can’t hurt to be reminded that she is a television presenter, a full-fledged media mogul and a dedicated philanthropist. Her talkshow is not only internationally acclaimed, but has also gotten Oprah quite a few Emmy Awards.
Besides the aforementioned, Oprah is also a very influential book critic, a magazine publisher and has also been nominated for an Academy Award after performing as an actress. Oprah had a troubled life, which included being raped when she was only 9 years old, giving birth at the young age of 14and soon afterwards losing the child.
While still in high school, she got a job at a radio station and proceeded to co-anchor the local news when she was just 19. Afterwards, she made it to the talkshow arena, where she proved to be a natural. Her innate talent helped get a talkshow rated third in Chicago to the first place. After that success, Oprah decided to launch her own production company and even became internationally syndicated.
Lately, Oprah confessed that she was getting back most if the weight she famously lost years ago, when she dragged a wheelbarrow of fat into the studio, amounting to the same number of pounds she had lost.
Unsurprisingly, Oprah has been feeling pretty down lately. Luckily for her, one of her closest friends and favorite doctors is Zehmet Oz, who has decided to create a wellness plan by which we should all live. One of the most important things he mentions is that genes can only influence our aging so much, and that most of the aging we do in our first 50 years of life is influenced by our lifestyle, not our genetic heritage.
