Britney Spears seems to be a terrible driver. Tuesday, she was involved in her second car crash this month as she plowed her white convertible Mercedes-Benz SL into the back of a Ford Explorer sports utility vehicle (SUV).

Apparently, it was Britney’s fault.

The star was idling at a red light on Sunset Blvd in Beverly Hills and when she saw cars moving in a left-turn lane, she thought she had a green light too. So Britney gave it some gas and stopped into the SUV that was idling in front of her.

The super star was allegedly writing a text message on her cell phone while driving, x17online.com reported.

The crash occurred at about 2:10 p.m. Britney didn’t get out of the car after the crash. Her bodyguard, who was traveling in the passenger seat did it and he talked to the female driver of the Ford Explorer SUV trying to convince her to go to Spears' nearby gated mansion (The Summit) to resolve the matter.

The other driver involved in the crash, Edith Cortese, followed Spears’ Mercedes to the blonde star’s mansion where she was invited inside. Spears’ bodyguard drove from the crash scene to the singer’s home, according to Entertainment Online.

The Mercedes seems to have suffered the worst in the collision. The car suffered noticeable front-end damage.

Britney Spears was involved in a similar crash in Los Angeles on April 12.
