Nadya Suleman, the mom who recently gave birth to octuplets, has reportedly moved from her home to a secret place after receiving death threats. She is now staying with her six older children (she has 14 children with the octuplets) at an “undisclosed location."
"The bulk of them [the threats] just rail against her being, as they would refer to her, as a person who's taking advantage of the system, and they just go from there," said Mrs. Suleman's spokesman Mike Furtney.
Mrs. Suleman has also hired a security firm to keep her away from those who allegedly threatened her.
The 33-year-old Califronia mother has also launched a Web site asking for donations so she can raise her 14 children. If you want to help the mother of 14, then visit www.thenadyasulemanfamily.com. You can “meet the octuplets,” donate items and send money via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal).
The Web site features a rainbow, child’s blocks and her newly-born octuplets Mrs. Suleman had through in vitro fertilization, just like she had her other six children.
The fact that it was recently revealed that she has been unemployed for several years, collecting $490 a month in food stamps plus Social Security disability payments for three of her children caused extensive public mockery.
Fertility experts were also angered by this case and the doctor who assisted her is now being investigated by the medical community to find out if he acted properly. The hospital where she delivered the octuplets and where they received care wants to be reimbursed for costs from Medi-Cal, the state's health care program for the poor.
