The public relations group that has served as a representative for octuplets mom Nadya Suleman is bowing out as a result of death threats, the president of the group announced on Saturday.
Joann Killeen added that the mother has hired an agent this time. The person she has picked, Wes Yoder, is the same man who set up book and music arrangements for the McCaughey septuplets approximately 10 years ago and media hype for notorious pastor Rick Warren.
The Killeen Furtney Group brought its complimentary representation to a standstill after receiving over 100 graphic e-mailed threats and numerous malicious voicemails that aimed at the Los Angeles agency and even at some of its other clients, Killeen explained, as cited by The Associated Press.
While some messages were meant to intimidate Suleman, other warnings concentrated on her spokespeople. Joann Killeen said that the company had decided to step down after getting the octuplets mom “through the worst part of it.”
Bits of information with regard to the fact that the 33-year-old single unemployed mom is receiving public assistance to take care of the 14 children she has conceived through in vitro fertilization has stirred lots of buzz among many people.
While Killeen said that the group had never seen such a violent public reaction, Michael Levine, a Hollywood publicist who has stood up for pop star Michael Jackson, explains that he receives such a threat once a month, the AP reported.
Nadya Suleman, who gave birth last month, is currently living at an unrevealed location and has launched a Web site in order to receive funding for the octuplets, who remained hospitalized.
