After sharply criticizing her daughter Nadya Suleman's decision to expand her family through artificial insemination in spite of the fact that she already had six young children, Angela Suleman decided to be a little more understanding about the situation.
In a TV interview posted online by CBS on Monday, the octuplet grandmother experienced a new feeling as she saw her daughter’s new eight babies whom she initially only considered eight more mouths to feed. The woman never approved Nadya’s decision of going through this other round of in vitro fertilization, but apparently she did not have much choice. She said she only learned that she would be a grandmother again when the pregnancy started to show.
Angela Suleman is a retired school teacher who switched to the full time job of taking care of her other six grandchildren. They all share a three-bedroom house in Whittier, California and the woman is perfectly aware of the fact that there will not be enough space for the octuplets too when they are released from the hospital. Last year the former teacher filed for bankruptcy and now she is determined to help her daughter move into a bigger home with all her 14 children.
In spite of Nadya Suleman’s refusal to reveal the sperm donor’s identity, the same she used for all her pregnancies, Angela thinks she is a very good mother and that the octuplets are a miracle. She decided it was her duty to be there for them and help them all the way.
