Nadya Suleman, the controversial mom that gave birth to octuplets, encountered some trouble in her attempt to trademark the name ‘Octomom.’ It seems that a company already did that, TMZ.com reported.
The company that beat Suleman to the punch is called Super Happy Fun Fun and it applied for the trademark about one month before the mother of 14. According to the TMZ report, both Super Happy Fun Fun and Suleman plan to use the trademark name in the entertainment business.
Mrs. Suleman filed two applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on April 10. According to the applications, the woman plans to use the Octomom name on T programs, clothing and disposable and cloth diapers.
According to several media reports, Suleman landed her first TV show deal. She told Life % Style Magazine that she signed a deal with Eyeworks for a TV show which is actually a documentary on the lives of her children. Suleman said the TV show will hit the TV screens in the U.K. first and then probably in the U.S. however, all these reports are more likely to be rumors than facts.
The divorced and unemployed mother made headline after headline after giving birth to eight children and medical experts were amazed. But after the wider public found out that she already had six children home and that she conceived all of her 14 children through in vitro fertilization, the fascinations soured.
