In the midst of public indignation and anger over Nadya Suleman’s alleged declarations that she provides for her big family using food stamps and that she is an Angelina Jolie aficionada, the octuplets’ mother tells People magazine that she feels she needs “a greater strength” in order to face her unexpected infamy.
The California octomom told the publication that she hoped for the buzz to be put out and thus permit her to concentrate on bringing up her eight fresh babies, who were born on January 26, as well as her other six children. In addition, 33-year-old Nadya Suleman denied rumors with regard to her obsession with actress Angelina Jolie and called them “all lies.” She added that she had “no interest” in the beautiful celebrity and that she had never been a devotee of a famous person.
“Now I kinda have a taste. But it’s not being famous – it’s being infamous. It’s a nightmare,” Nadya Suleman told People.
Moreover, a representative for Angelina Jolie rejected reports claiming that the actress had received several letters from the octuplets’ mom.
In the meantime, Nadya Suleman’s mother, who explained last week during an on-air interview that her daughter’s decision to expand her family through in-vitro fertilization in spite of the fact that she already had six young children was “unconscionable,” seems to have assuaging thoughts.
In an interview on CBS’s “The Early Show” posted on the network’s Web site on Monday, Angela Suleman said that her irritation caved in after she had seen her new-born grandchildren. “You can resent your daughter for just so long and then you see that she’s trying so hard to take care of these children,” Angela Suleman said. “She’s a very good mother ... but then she had a good example.”
The octuplets’ mother’s six other children have been living in their grandmother’s three-bedroom home. Nevertheless, Angela Suleman explained that she did not have enough room for the octuplets and that she would help her daughter find another place to live in when the babies are released from hospital.
Ambassador Agency Inc. president Wes Yoder issued a statement on Monday rejecting declarations made by a public relations group that his Franklin, Tenn.,-based company was the new representative for Nadya Suleman. Despite the fact that his company had offered pro bono advice on licensing Suleman family photos and examined the possibility of representing the octomom, Wes Yoder said that he firm decided to stay away.
The Killeen Furtney Group, which served as a representative group for Nadya Suleman, announced on Saturday that it was bowing out as a result of death threats.
